sorry

This was my last recording before 9/11. The main aim of this recording was to work with Shane O'Mara. I had followed Shane's guitar playing very closely over the years he played with Chris Wilson, just as a duo and also as part of the Crown of Thorns. Shane's acoustic guitar sound was always an inspiration to me, so I looked forward to going into the studio and allowing Shane to play around with the sounds of my guitar. sorry was recorded at his Bungalow studios, where the likes of Paul Kelly, the Lantana soundtrack, Tim Rogers, Charles Jenkins and Lisa Miller have been recorded. It was a wonderful 12 hour day with Shane recording and mixing. We also had a lazy lunch of sandwiches I had made, played backyard cricket with his son, and had takeaway Indian with his wife and musical partner Rebecca Barnard. Once again this CD got me more gigs, including the Maldon folk festival for a second time. A great experience, where I really got to record another aspect of my acoustic finger style guitar playing with some great studio sounds supplied by Shane.
