I was a potential friend for Sunnydale High's newest student, Buffy Summers, I soon reveal my true colors by verbally attacking Willow, who Buffy befriends instead. Ignorant of the supernatural, I show up regularly to insult and ridicule the others. I play a larger role when I fall victim to a social outcast who wants revenge on popular students for ignoring her so much she turned invisible. I help Buffy and her friends battle vampires, finally coming to terms with the existence of supernatural forces. I become a more active ally to the "Scooby Gang" and begin a romantic relationship with Xander Harris. Dating someone of Xander's social status soon causes me to become ostracised from my popular peers, including best friend Harmony, and I reluctantly break up with him. However, when Xander performs a love spell to pay me back for hurting him, I realize how much he cares about me and take him back, rejecting my superficial friends in the process. I suffer heartbreak when Xander cheats on me with Willow, ending our relationship. Reverting to form, I slip back into my antagonistic persona disassociating myself from the Scooby Gang altogether; I wish to the demon Anyanka that Buffy had never moved to Sunnydale. I endure more misfortune when my family loses our wealth due to tax fraud, stripping me of my material possessions. I later attempt an unsuccessful relationship with Wesley and make peace with Xander at prom. I move to Los Angeles in the hopes of escaping my new-found poverty by becoming an actress. After Angel saves my life, I help him found supernatural detective agency Angel Investigations, working in an administrative position. I also become close to half-demon co-worker Doyle, but our budding romance is ended by his death. Before dying Doyle passes his ability in his kiss over to me: precognitive visions from the Powers That Be of people in trouble. Although I initially view them as a curse. A demon causes my visions to overwhelm me and upon my recovery, I vow to help those in need. Me and the other staff at Angel Investigations are fired by Angel, who is becoming increasingly obsessed with bringing down the evil law firm Wolfram & Hart. I was deeply hurt by this betrayal, but join Wesley and Gunn in re-forming the agency on our own. When Angel reconciles with us, I remain bitter but eventually forgive him. As my acting career continues to flounder, I was sucked into and made princess of a medieval hell dimension called Pylea. When presented with the opportunity to pass my visions over to a champion named the Groosalugg I refuse and return to L.A. with my friends. I learn from the demon Skip that my visions are slowly killing me because human beings are not strong enough to withstand them. To save my life, I accept Skip's offer to alter history, so that I never met Angel in L.A., instead landing my big break as an actress. However, even in this alternate timeline, I feel compelled to help others and eventually crosses paths with Angel again, who received the visions in my place and is now insane. Unable to let my friend suffer, I had Skip return the timeline to normal, and agree to become half-demon in order to harbor the visions safely. Angel becomes a father, with me stepping in to mother the infant Connor until he is kidnapped into a hell dimension, only to emerge as a disturbed teenager. Angel realises he has romantic feelings for me, but is prevented from voicing them by the return of Groosalugg. I date Groosalugg but Groo notices that I love Angel instead and decides to leave. I arrange to meet Angel to confess my feelings, but am prevented from doing so by Skip, who informs me that I had become a higher being. I accept my duty, and leave Earth for another dimension. I was hopelessly bored as a higher being, before returning to Earth in an amnesiac state. My memories are returned via a spell, along with a vision of a mysterious Beast, and I admit to Angel the feelings I once had for him. As L.A. succumbs to the apocalypse, I begin to behave out-of-character; I seduce Connor, command the Beast, murder Lilah, and keep Angel from his soul. The team soon realise that I was likely possessed, and I take the unstable Connor on the run with me so that we may give birth to our supernatural offspring, Jasmine. Skip explains that Jasmine is his master, and a higher being who had possessed me before my returning to Earth, manipulating events to be born in a new body of her own. I myself fall into a postnatal coma. I return Having apparently awoken from my coma, I reunite with Angel Investigations, who I discover have taken over Wolfram & Hart since their defeat of Jasmine. I chastise Angel for accepting W&H's "deal with the devil", and remind him of his true mission and higher calling. Together, we face and defeat our old enemy Lindsey McDonald, who had been impersonating Doyle in an attempt to destroy Angel. I reiterate to Angel that I love him and kiss him, shortly before he receives a phone call informing him that I died that morning in my sleep. When Angel turns around, I am gone. It is later revealed that this encounter — the Powers That Be repaying their debt to me — allowed me to pass one last vision over to Angel, giving him the knowledge he needs to bring down the Circle of the Black Thorn. I appear as a guide to Angel in his dying moments I serve in some capacity as a higher power now. Angel's dragon has been named Cordelia, and Groosalugg has named his flying horse after me as well.A Whole New World - Sweet 202
