About Me
Born and raised in Houston Texas,I started playing drums 30 years ago at age 9.As a teen,I studied under Craig Lemay, and Bob Brock(aka Bobby Rock).I left Humble Texas and relocated to Southern California to pursue my Drumming career in 1986.My early influences are Alex Van Halen,John Bonham,Kieth Moon,Pat Torpey,Scott Rockenfield,Eric Singer,Carmine Appice,and Neil Peart.
I attended Musician's Institute (Percussion)in 1990.I attain a degree in Percussion,and Music Theory. I studied under Pat Torpey, Terry Bozzio,and other drummers at the school.I Have opened and toured with various national acts.Past groups ive drummed in, include-Gangway,Bad Timing,Idle Feast,and Hollywood Punk Band The Dixx.
I moved back to Texas where I currently live with my wife Zina of 12 years.My teenage daughter Michelle in Houston, very talented and growing up quick,wants to pursue a career in computer graffic design she will graduate high school and off to college next year.Music is my life and now back doing what I love to do,I feel that my life is coming around full circle,stronger than ever,and I'm having a blast with my new music.
Now off the road ,Im currently programming-live drums/session work for hire, also working with a new group.New music in the works and out soon!
When im not working I like to relax Salt water fishing in Southern Cal,or Florida,try to do a couple of times each year. I also have a love for Nascar,I attend several races each year,Dale Jr is my driver!!
I very much enjoy the quiet life now on 76 acres of land in central Texas,and this wild rocker loves to fish and hunt.
