About Me

"Grown folk's music from a youngsta" -Throwed Yella.
Throwed Yella. Many ask what it means, The word "Throwed" was originated in the state of Texas, the meaning is to be Cool, Fresh, Live, ETC. "Yella" is a shorter and more southern way to say Yellow Bone which is a slang term used to describe a light skinned African American and/or a mixed person. Combining the two slang terms together THROWED YELLA is like saying Live Yellow bone.
Born in Eastside of Austin, Texas out of 78702 (or 0-2) Alec Bedford also known as Throwed Yella raised and supported by his middle class mother who in his young years moved him to North East Austin hoping it would give him a betterlife.
Growing up being influenced by the most known D.j from Texas, D.j Screw, and the rest of the Screwed Up Click or S.U.C with artist like Z-ro (Throwed Yella's biggest influence), Lil O, Lil Keke, Big Hawk, Phat Pat, and many more Throwed Yella gained a big passion for Hip-Hop. Throwed Yella was also influenced by U.G.K, A.B.N, D.S.R, Dirty 3rd Records, and many more Texas artist he listened to while growing up.
Throwed Yella first got into music in elementary school after he heard a Houston artist named Z-Ro's album in 2002 called "Life" he listened to it all day and started to like the way that Z-Ro told his life in his songs instead of just rapping about money, cars cloths, etc. When he got in to middle school he noticed the amount of dis liking, and haters he had. He started to relate events back to what his idol Z-Ro was flowing about. He then bought Z-Ro's latest album "Let The Truth Be Told" and would listen to the CD all day during school he would write down lyrics from some of the hits of the album like "Mo City Don Freestyle, Platinum, and It's A Shame. When he would read back over them he would change every word in the song and read it again to see what he could do, he liked it so he started to use Z-Ro instrumentals and freestyle on them.
He met up with another artist (and later best friend) at school and they formed a group with three 9th graders at the time. "AMW" standing for America's Most Wanted, Throwed Yella recorded his first track with them shortly after that entitled "OUR TERRITORY" A group of five musicians, all hard working artist, but eventually the group split up. How ever they did not all go there separate ways One Ninth grader moved while the other two went solo however Throwed Yella and the artist he first met began to become very close friends, they were in the middle of working on a mixtape when Throwed Yella noticed he was acting "shady" they didn't talk for a few weeks and then the not talking started to become "beefing." The artist released a diss on Throwed Yella so he knew what it was.
After this not many people were there for him and that's when he started to get known for his "I Don't Need Y'all attitude." Because of the way people treated him throughout his middle school years Throwed Yella stays to him self meaning he is not very social when it comes to making new friends.
It was January 2009 when a local artist started an Austin movement/group called Aggravated Mic Breakers with 3 members currently in it he recruited Throwed Yella. When Throwed Yella got on the team he felt like he met some one that really has his back. The four man movement spread to a 35+ people click in just the matter of 3 months consisting of rappers, singers, promoters, D.j's, producers, etc. All from different side of town and different hoods but all had one dream... To put Austin, Texas on the map.
Throwed Yella is currently working on a new mixtape with his Aggravated Mic Breakers family, and also designing a home studio.

As a young artist who has been all over Texas, I've noticed Austin ("the Live Music Capital of the World") is NOT as supportive of its local Hip Hop artists as other cities (like Houston and Dallas, f...
