Naked is simple. Naked is honest. Naked is the way we enter this world, with drooling wonder and amazement of the things around us.
So we build bikes with naked in mind.
Simplify.
Confucious knew it. Thoreau knew it. So does anybody who's lived out of a backpack or consolidated their frequent-flier miles: Life is easier when it's simple.
Include what's bike. Leave out the rest.
The gears are in your legs.
The gears are in the hills. Up = slow. Down = fast.
The gears are in the scenery. Do you stop to smell the flowers, or do you turn them into high-speed blur? Need more power? Put a muffin in your mouth. Now the gears are in your bloodstream. How are you feeling? The gears are in your mood. When you ride a single-gear, you become bike. And the bike becomes you.
Please don't shout.
nu has classic, timeless style with sleek lines and muted tones. People notice nu. But not because it yells.
It's not where you go, it's how you get there.
We believe in detours. We believe in wasting time. We believe that some of the best places are found by accident. We believe in enjoying the ride. It's less ten speed—more longboard.
