About Me

The Pig Preserve is a sanctuary for abused, abandoned and rescued pigs of all breeds. The Preserve is a new model of caring for rescued pigs and other farm animals, which allows the animals to live in a natural state with a minimum of human intervention. The Pig Preserve is part of The Pig Preserve Association and consists of 100 acres of pristine, rural wilderness in the Cumberland Mountains of TN. We are a 501(c)(3)non-profit animal sanctuary and we exist completely on the donations and contributions from animal lovers and those who want to help provide a home for farm animals...especially pigs...where they can live their lives free from torture, abuse, fear and exploitation.PLEASE DONATE

Click on the picture to make a one time donation for maintaining the Preserve .. Based on our collective experience as sanctuary directors, calculating the maintenance costs of healthy, pre-tested, pre-vaccinated, spayed/neutered Preserve Pigs is not a guess, but a matter of record.

Lifetime funding for the miniature pigs, after the initial health expenses, will average $500-$600 per pig...based on an expected average residency at the Preserve of 10 years. The cost for farm pigs will be several hundred dollars higher due simply to their larger appetites and increased doses for medicines, parasite medications, etc....

Each pig coming to The Preserve will be sponsored . The sponsorship fee will be prepaid before the pig enters the Preserve. By establishing Certificates of Deposits (CD's) with the sponsorship funds, a reserve of funds will begin to grow and earn interest. These dedicated funds for The Preserve pigs will assure them of food, medical care and bedding for the remainder of their lifetime.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

The Pig Preserve is always interested in meeting fellow pig lovers and animal lovers. Those who operate The Preserve are vegetarians. The Preserve frequently hosts volunteers and, occasionally, visitors who want to learn what The Pig Preserve is all about. We also enjoy meeting people who want to help the pigs living at The Preserve by sponsoring pigs or supporting the Preserve. The Preserve is in its infancy and there are many acres yet to be fenced, barns for the pigs to be built, gardens to be planted and a host of other projects to make The Preseve a wonderful and natural home for the animals living here.
