Carl with Records in "BOOM"

For the last 4 or 5 years I've been performing in alot of shows that former Cockette, Rumi Missabu has been calling Cameraderie and also at many other venues like SF MOMA , The Marsh . The Hypnodrome , The Cinch ,The Eagle , Keyser Pavillian etc I was briefly in the" Angels of Light" ( a psychodelic gender bending free theater group from S F in the '70's ) and "the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence ' when they started (they are crazed male "nuns " who raise money and laughs ) - I started singing as a small child ( 6 or so ) and remember going outdoors and wailing songs like ' The Man I Love " I made some films : "Weekend Zombie Nurses " "Rat Girl Rhonda "( ACME Films ) featuring a lot of drag performers -I like to sing with Records and have the most fun performing in costume -changing hats and wigs right before your eyes ! I'll even remove clothes to keep you watching ( or maybe you'll pass out in shock ) Hopefully I'll rattle some cages ,flip some wigs and perhaps entertain a few others as" Carl with Records "-The FABULOUS Sissy Goforth in Tennessee Williams screenplay for my favorite film" BOOM ! "says " If some people don't like it- who NEEDS some people ! "I'm actually a mellow Libra who'd rather sing ( I've written about 500 songs ) than fight ( I was a concientous objector during the Veit Nam war ) I love to channel these original songs to my MANY records . I'm also a painter who works from dreams..I even do songs based on dreams . I like to write songs about unusual subjects such as " My Best Friend is a Hog " ( I love animals ! ) - I came out with a book "Suspense above the Pool " ( dream paintings each with a written text ) in 1998 . I'm from Tucson Arizona -(born in Sapulpa , Oklahoma ) but have lived in the San Francisco area (now Oakland ) since 1973 . You could say I'm sort of a hippie but I do adore some old fashioned things such as Cole Porter , Jayne Mansfield , Christmas and Easter -though I'm not religous . I do a big halloween haunt every year with my partner Larry Schmidt who mostly designs it all (look at my pics ) I think of nature as god and I love the outdoors as well as travel - I went to Asia ( I loved seeing Burma , Bali , India and Thailand etc. )- Also l enjoyed much of Europe - I went to Austria (loved Vienna ) and Bavaria to study the "mische techniique (combining oil paint and egg tempera -a great technique) I'm vegetarian (except I have seafood on rare occasion ) I love old records -esp. vocals such as Peggy Lee , Sarah Vaughn , Hoagy Carmichael Anita O'day June Christy etc. -and old musicals - I work in a thrift store raising money for over 200 charities -Here's the url for a web site of my paintings - http://home.earthlink.net/~carllinkhart/index.html -I'd also love it if you google me ( Carl Linkhart ) That google thing turns me on ! peace and love to the world !
