James Hughes and Gabe Aiken have played music for the majority of their lives. In May of 2007, the two decided to team up for a "collaboration." They started to write one song, which led to multiple songs, eventually leading up to an album. Then, they decided that their project was going well enough to give it a name. After strenuous deliberation and some suggestions from friends, they picked the name "Whispers After Midnight." They brought in Dylan LeBlanc to come in on a song with them for the debut album. This track was titled "New Point of View," for its meaning of starting over and changing the things in life that bring you down. Twelve songs in, James and Gabe decided that they had enough songs for an album. They chose to name the album "Coastal Bliss" after one of the tracks they had written. They are currently in the process of writing and recording their second album.
