Your Pants Just Laughed

About Me

**Songs are up. Newer recordings. Some mistakes. We happened to record the run through of our set after not playing for 2 weeks. still no vocals. still no excellent quality recordings. we're hoping on doing better ones soon**
ALSO! yes that is burning bridges by one dead three wounded in vacation, sorry if you are angry about that, if you would like the song removed please message a request, we were just recording our set these weren't meant to be on here.

This is a long one...Well, Back in October of 2004 I (kevin) met Mr. Sean Kent at an old Held in broken arms show in Mat tex's basement...Later in December of 2004 If I remember correctly I met Sean again at a Grandslam show. I believe it was two days before Christmas and the Binary code was playing...Ah the good old days.
Anyway I was talking to my brother's friend Richard at the show and he had mentioned to me that Sean was a vocalist looking for a band and that he was up for doing it if I was. It turns out Sean knew a Drummer, his cousin Chris, whom I also met at the show. At the end of the show we exchanged phone numbers and we had a get together at Chris's house a few days after Christmas. Things seemed to go really well. Later we recruited a second guitarist Jim Martin, and later started practicing at his house. We then later added Another vocalist Nick Champine. We were doing that for about five months.
Talking to Richard and Chris about the band one day, we all had the same feelings. We no longer wanted to have a second guitarist and we had the wonderful Idea of trying out vocals for ourselves. So we told everyonne that we were spliting from the band. We had a practice and we really seemed to like it better. As we tried vocals ourselves while playing as a three-piece, we soon came to the sudden conclusion that it was nearly impossible to do it and play technical music at the same time.
So now it's May-June and things were looking better for us. We were looking for a vocalist at the time and we happened to talk to a friend about our new idea as a band and he was interested in trying us out. This fellow is better known as Marc Zdon. So Chris and myself invited him to a practice one day and he seemed to like us a lot, and later joined the cult.
A few months later he left for his other band Winston's Gauntlet (check the link on our page),and we were down a vocalist.
Now it is September 2005 and we are still seeking a new vocalist. Things are going well, songs couldn't be any better, things really llok good. So thats us, Bandera Canyon. I have had a few questions on the name and really there is no signifigance to it, it actually originated from Chris just saying words one day, and it stuck.
August 05: kevin, richard, and fladugi felt as though it would benefit both parties if marc were able to dedicate all his time to winstons gauntlet, and now he can.
unfortunately this means we no longer have a very talented vocalist!
which is what we need.

so if you're interested message us please.
September 05: We were supposed to have a show on the 24th. Unfortunately fladugi was forced to tend to other engagements and bandera could not as a whole at our set time for the show. We gave notice to the person hosting the show many of you may know as fester. He told us we were not allowed to go on later even though it was impossible for us to play on time, and in spite of the fact that two other bands including the band playing last dropped the show so there was plenty of time for us. We are very upset as we had all been looking forward to our first show a very long time and really wanted people to know what was going on with our new material. Most of the new stuff isn't worth recording right now because it just comes across so poorly on the equipment we have a available to us.
as always if you are having a show or know someone who is please help us get on it! we really want to play.
DECEMBER 05 So its about time we have had an update haha. Well things were going really slow, ever since school has been picking up, but sure enough we are coming along fine. We finally have about seven songs completed and counting. There has been talk of recording going on as we near the end of the year, we are still deciding when the best time to record is. We are hoping for recordings by the end of the year od begining of this year. We still have our eyes open for a vocalist. but as of right now that doesnt seem to be a big issue. We are coping very well without one, but if anyone is interested we are totally down for tryouts.
January 06 . Finally a new year upon us and things are going pretty good. We are going to try using Kevin and Richard on vocals and seing how far that will get us. Other than that we hope oto record this month sometime and see if we can't get a few shows to play at. Songs are coming along great and what not....
