About Me

Here's the Dealio!!Mix the love of perfect pop tunes and high energy live shows, and you've got Elvyn. The sound: Most often Compared to Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Teenage Fanclub, Replacements. Albums: Ten Car Stereo (2002), The Big Bay EP (2005). Elvyn was formed originally by Joel & Ryan Beerman. Their interest in music and performing was there from an early age. Their first inclination when starting up a band was to gravitate towards the pop-inflected, psychedelic country rock of the 60's & 70's which was a staple in the Beerman household. Having had their parent's oversized record collection at arms reach helped point them in the right direction as well. In the begining the Bros. went through numerous cheap guitars (with only two strings sometimes) and broken chair parts (mostly spindles) used for drums, and learned how to play and write songs. It was somewhat of a struggle, as it is for most aspiring musicians. However, the hard work paid off in the end. Now Elvyn has real instruments a full length album and an E.P. , a significant fan base, and most importantly the know how to make good records and even better live shows. Most recently the band has recorded and released a new EP entitled "The Big Bay". Available on-line at www.cdbaby.com
