About Me

I play guitar in Immigrant Blue and used to play guitar and sing in the (sadly) now defunct Jupiter. I am an audio engineer/producer with Raygun Recording Studio. I have 12 years of studio and live sound experience and production, and I'm interested in recording your band. I have affordable rates, professional equipment, and a critical and discerning ear. I record in my home studio, but I have the ability to come to you if the situation calls for it. I'm very easy to work with, and extremely enthusiastic. My DAW is Cubase 5, and I use Universal Audio and Sonnox plugins.
My preference is to discuss with you what exactly you want out of your project, and then go from there. I can do anything from a quick demo to a more elaborate production. After discussing the options with you, we can come up with a quote for the whole project, or a per song rate. If you're more comfortable with a flat hourly rate, it is $25/hr. Please contact me via myspace for more information.
This is not a hobby for me. I've been doing this for years for myself, but a combination of things in the last couple of years ignited a passion in me for audio recording. I put my heart and soul into this, and I will work really hard to make you happy with your recording. I'm comfortable with and can contribute usefully to most styles, having been a musician for the last 20 years. During that time, I've been a devotee of many types of music, from metal, funk, R&B, rock, jazz, to pop and tons more. This gives me a very well rounded outlook on music. I don't have a "cookie cutter" mentality when it comes to recording. My approach is to do what's right for the situation at hand.
I am comfortable in the producer role but never force my will on anyone. I'm also perfectly happy to sit out and simply be an audio engineer. However, all of the bands I've worked with have appreciated my constructive criticism and input on the sound of their record. Please contact me for more information on this aspect.
I look forward to working with you!
