I am here for Friends

About Me

I have embarked on an amazing journey, attending nursing school at LA County Hospital. I am taking care of some of the poorest and sickest individuals one could ever meet, which I believe to be one of the most important jobs in the world. Oh, and I am learning Spanish to effectively communicate with all of my patients:) In my very little spare time (I take 2 exams every week, ok?), I go dancing and try to see my friends! So please leave me a message and I'll get back to you...at some point...this year;)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

A Polar Bear, since they're going to be extinct in about 40 years, along with the chiquita banana. I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

Recipe of the Week

I watched Geoffrey Rush make this Pavlova (it's his grandmother's recipe) on the Martha Stewart show.  Pavlova is an Australian dessert, which the Aussies lovingly refer to as "pav."  It was...

I'm going to be a food critic

I heard about how "lifeinitaly.com" needs people with experience in Italian food and culture to critique the food posted on their website.  I e-mailed them about myself, and I received a personal...

I'm not going to New York:(

I talked to an admissions rep. at the school in NY a few days ago and she told me that my program would be 15 months, so I thought everything was a go.  Then, I spoke with my nursing advisor this...

A sad day

Today I attended Ed's funeral, an elderly man whom I took care of (and the first client of mine to pass away).  I'm not completely depressed about it though because he needed to find peace. ...

Pissed off

So the organization I volunteer for, which provides free legal advice to immigrants seeking citizenship, is closing due to the lack of funding, and hence, staff.  This organization is the only on...
