Eye color orange, formed in early 2000, exploded into the long Island, New York music scene in early 2001 with a smart and brutal yet melodic assault to the ears. They have played and continue to play countless live shows earning a steady stream of opening slots for national acts such as 40 Below Summer and Dry Kill Logic. With their self produced 3 song e.p, Eye color orange quickly began building a wide spread fan base throughout the long island New York area. With the recording of their 8 song CD entitled “Vertabration”, Eye Color Orange once again went on to conquer the local Long Island scene selling over 1000 copies locally gaining positive reviews in local fanzines and newspapers and college and local radio play. Eye color orange continues to stamp their mark with a powerful spine crushing live show and unrelentless drive to spread their music and be original. Each member of Eye Color Orange comes from different styles and genre of music, which adds to the complexity, and style that Eye Color Orange strives for. The eyes are windows to our souls., but they are also our windows to this world. To have orange eyes is to see life - all life, balanced. One who sees the world with red eyes often views life through tainted lenses. A person with red eyes comes from a place of hate, shame, and prejudice. Contrarily, a person with yellow eyes chooses to be idealistic, and is often naive, oblivious to the realities of the world we live in today.
