Bibi

Bibi was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. Started on piano at the age of 8, switched to guitar at age 11. At the age of 11 Bibi started writing songs of his own. By the age of 15, he was playing guitar in his first band and found out that he was addicted to funk and blues. He was (still is) full-bodied, fairly stout and burly, to his band members he sort of looked like Mr. B.B King, the greatest Blues musician and guitarist. To them, Bibi was a blues maniac, 'cos he used to play and sing blues, had a big guitar that looked almost like B.B.’s “Lucille”, and was crazy about blues, except for that he is white, though, as his band musicians used to say - Bibi’s got a soul of a Blackman. In couple of days the band musicians decided to give him an official stage name - “Bibi”. It’s been over 25 years that he was sort of baptized as Bibi. His official name is George, which he really likes. But over the years, he got used to his stage name, and now can't even imagine somebody calling him George. Bibi used play in various bands. He was even playing in a band that played cover versions of “The Beatles” songs. But regardless of the fact that he grew up listening to all genres of music, starting with rock, funk, blues, jazz, fusion, pop, etc. he adored classical music most of all. Bibi used to play in several rock, rock'n'roll and blues bands as a lead guitar player, used to be a drummer, lead and back vocalist, bass guitar and piano player. But couldn’t get the real satisfaction. That's why he decided to create music all by himself and sort of "go solo". Rarely he cooperates with his musician friends, other session musicians. "Funkability Perspective"" is one of the projects Bibi is currently working on. Bibi has created tons of music for TV and Radio Programs, Jingles, Ads and Commercials. Bibi has composed soundtracks for 2 movies. Currently workin' in a professional sound recording studio. He composes music, writes and arranges songs, lyrics for songs, does the sampling and programming; he records, engineers and produces music. Bibi has been DeeJaying for five years. Currently he is workin' on his three Albums simultaneously. These Albums are of absolutely different genres: First one is focused on FUNK only. (He absolutely ADORES FUNK) Second Album will be a compilation of ELECTRONIC music (Check out - www.myspace.com/bibithedj) and Third Album - He's got the basic concept, but doesn't even have the title for it yet ~ you can listen to one composition from this album called “Uh, Baby”.
