from it's conception in 2003 by two like minded friends, joshua hopwood and ross shaw, now joined by mark lewis and steven lannan. ammune system has established their own brand of dark and mentally unstable alternative industrial rock. the music contains meaningful and personal lyrics, vocals ranging from melodic tones to gravelled screams, catchy guitar and bass arrangements, alternative and electronic beats, synthesizers, sound effects and defects, while backed by an image that mirrors the music they create.
after going through many changes, evolutions and trials over the years, they have developed, grown and created a name for themselves by receiving airplay on local melbourne radio stations and internationally in greece and florida. ammune system have gained much experience performing live at venues such as cabaret nocturne, dv8, the arthouse, the green room, the tote and many more. also releasing a body of work in 2005 entitled “a taste of things to come”. although extremely outdated, it has gone on to sell over 500 copies.
