Melody Thieves

Melody Thieves is the creation of keyboardist and house DJ, Ben Laube, and beat writer, enigneer, and hip hop DJ, Jack Duffy. Introduced to each other by close mutual friend, Mezz, the two got together one summer night with Ben's keyboard and Jack's Pro Tools rig, and something special happened.. Many sessions later the two relized they had been creating music that can't easily be categorized. With Jack's bangin hip hop/ house/ electro beats, and Ben's electronic/ funk influenced melodies and bass lines, The Melody Thieves have stumbled upon a strange blending of different styles of music that aren't normally heard together. Plans to add classical instruments and more electronic sounds into the mix have got them both excited for future sessions. Stay tuned, when the tracks are ready, cds will be pressed and the Melody Thieves will introduce their unique blending of musical styles to the world..
