Katt's work as a radio DJ for KPLU and KKJZ, two top Jazz stations in the U.S., put her in the constant company of notable jazz performers who encouraged her to pursue her singing. In 2005 she finally made the leap and decided to leave radio to focus entirely on performing.
Currently, Katt is based in Europe. She is singing at festivals, in clubs, writing, and composing material for an original music project, and collaborating with artists of different music genres. She is a multi-talented artist who has been labeled "a natural". Katt's genuine love of music distinguishes her as a performer.
"I enjoyed Katt's singing very much. So many singers can't or won't hit a note squarely that it's a pleasure to hear her keep her intonation down the middle. Phrasing is crucial to intelligent interpretation of lyrics, and Katt's singing has both. There are few singers with the ability to sing with a jazz sensibility the classic material of the great American Songbook. Carmen is gone. We have Carol Sloane, Meredith d'Ambrosio, Susannah McCorkle, and Shirley Horn… the list gets short fast. There is going to be a demand for what Katt has the ear, sensitivity and talent to give."

"I liked what I heard. Katt's singing voice was wide ranging and expressive. She exuded a stage presence and professional carriage, had a good sense of pitch, and delivered an intriguing collection of songs with aplomb."

"There are many things I really enjoy in Katt as a singer. First of all, her voice, which is well trained, powerful and at the same time sweet and bitter just like life itself. Secondly is the fact that she knows virtually any standard song worthy of this name. And, last but not least Katt is a real entertainer and she really grabs an audience from the first moment on. I have learned only a few people have this kind of magic and I am glad I met one of them."
