Dismal Death

About Me

SORRY : NO SOUND BECAUSE OF DISMAL DEATH's NEW MUSICAL DIRECTION
Dismal Death is a grindcore-death-metal band founded in 1991.
Original line-up was : brothers Jerome Grind (guitars and vocals) and Sebastien Lefevre (drums and vocals) with bassist Yann Lefevre. Jerome and Sebastien are still in the band with the new direction.
Through tapes trading (that was far before MySpace !!!) DISMAL DEATH get in touch with bands like Agathocles, SUP (ex Supuration), Ultimate Disorder, Hotopsy, Caarcrinolas, Earquake or Cryptic. Brothers Jerome & Sebastien were deep in the grindcore/crust-punk worlds.
DEMO TAPE :
Spring 1993 DISMAL DEATH went in studio in Paris to record their first demo-tape called “The world is Screaming”. The demo contains 9 loud grindcore-death tracks.
Layout done by Jerome and Lionel, DISMAL DEATH began to sell the demo around. Band commercialised 20’00”” tapes numbered.
Right after the 1993 demo-tape, the band became more brutal death-metal oriented. Late period compositions mixed rythmic complexity with extremely slow parts (loud guitars like Trevor Peres). DISMAL DEATH disbanded some monthes after this in 1994. Sebastien founded band Eternal Rest with long time friend Michel Babilotte (We strictly recommand their album) and Jerome involved in experimental projects as bass and guitar player.
Now Beauty Flow lives for a second time.
DISMAL DEATH reunite as a grindcore-indus band with ambient scapes. Let's say we're inventing a new musical genre...
We are actually recording new sounds.
