Coming from a diverse background Jennie Marie a.k.a. Bay-B-Girl was constantly exposed to several different types of music and dancing all of her life. She is the first generation of her family to be born in United States and is a Bay Area native. Born to a Brazilian musician, who was the lead singer/guitarist of his own band, and a Nicaraguan singer and belly dancer, who both migrated to the bay area with ambitions, she was destined to be an artist. Her love for music and the arts kept her at peace while she faced many difficult struggles in her youth. Jennie Marie began singing and dancing at a young age but when faced with early tragedies decided to keep her focus on her education and home life first. Her talents remained concealed but never lost. She always believed that her time to shine would eventually come. After accomplishing personal goals in an environment where many break from the pressure , she has faith and is positive that she is capable of holding her own in the entertainment industry.
Like many, she feels that art such as music and dance have been a source of inspiration and therapy for her and would like to give back what she has received. Being discovered unexpectedly led to her start in modeling. With her artistic background modeling and acting came naturally for, but her true love is MUSIC. Along with her other gifts, she is a songwriter as well, composing her own material and that of other artists. As much as she loves modeling, it is her inner beauty that she desires to be recognized for. She aspires to be a role model for urban youth who have had to face similar trials. Knowing she can reach someone through the arts remains her primary motivation.
Jennie Marie's modeling experience include runway, fashion, print and promotional. She has been featured in several fashion shows locally as well as gracing the catwalk in Las Vegas during all star weekend. She continues to expand her portfolio by regularly booking photo shoots. Musically she has worked with several different artists singing, writing, co-writing, and co-producing. At this time she is focused on her music composition and acting. She continues to collaborate with other artists while developing her own style and sound. Keep your eyes open for this shining diamond in the rough whose goal is to feed the soul by inspiring and being inspired!
