Minister Robert E. Sams, II was the last child of four and only son given to Robert Sr. & Patricia Sams. He grew up in a loving, caring and christian home where his parents and grandparents, Bishop Solomon Sams Sr., Lady Elect Ollie Sams and Minister Jettie Bussie emphasized holiness as a way of life. Through the teaching and preaching of The Word of God from his Pastor, Ruby Robinson at Zion Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, at a very young age, Minister Sams accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. At the age of 5 years old, God spoke through his pastor and said, "Minister Sams is a special child". "Don't talk to him as a little child". In his early years, he enjoyed singing in the choir. First, with the King's Kids and then with ZPC Adult Choir.In 1997, Minister Robert Sams, II was joined in Holy Matrimony to his lovely wife, Minister Brina Archie-Sams. To this union, four children were born: Robert III, Brinia, Ryan and Brinae. Since that day, he and his family has dedicated their lives to doing God's work.Through dreams God showed Minister Sams what his calling is, but he wanted to make sure if it was God's will for him at that time. In May 2002, at the age of 25, God called Minister Sams to the ministry to proclaim the unadulterated gospel. God spoke through the Gift, The Prophetess of Zion, and confirmed his calling. So, HE LET GO AND LET GOD!!!He serves as an Associate Minister of Zion Pentecostal Church of God In Christ, a Sunday School Teacher, President and Director of the ZPC's Adult Choir, Director of ZPC's Youth Choir and Youth Leader. In 2004, God gave him the vision of starting a Youth Group called "Project Redeemed". Every child is a project because of where they come from and the ultimate goal for each of the youth is redemption. This Youth Group deals with sex, drugs, gangs, violence and children from foster homes as well as broken homes. He also serves as a Mentor for Lincoln's Challenge Academy in Rantoul, IL. He has become a great Role Model to our youth as well as people of all ages. Teaching them to live by The Word of God and apply The Word to their life.He has preached and sang all over the country. His preaching is refreshing and the annointing is always present. He hears from God and relays that message to God's people. He sang with The Children's Choir of Chicago, briefly with New Direction and was part of their first recording in the late 1990's and he was section leader in The Fenger Academy's Gospel Choir under the direction of Pastor Rose Harper who is a great Role Model to him and whom he affectionately calls Momma!He is a man of character, integrity, strength and courage. He has faced some obstacles as being a "young " minister, but that has not stopped him from the call on his life. He is annointed and chosen by God....for such a time as this.
