At the very young age of four years old Jaime Benjamin embarked on her journey to become a successful singer. Being from Philadelphia gave her the opportunity to perform. She began learning the technical side of dancing, learning ballet and jazz at just four years old. Later she repeatedly performed for the Pennsylvania Ballet Company. Later her dancing would lead her to study the style of hip hop.As a young girl Jaime performed in such shows as the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and A Midsummer's Night Dream including many others. Her involvement in these shows made her realize from a very young age that she wanted to be a performer but at the age of 13 Jaime, as well as her family and friends realized she had a remarkable voice. She naturally had a husky, jazzy, bluesy, soulful tone to her voice and when her vibrato developed at age 17 her voice matured into a very versatile instrument. After taking many voice lessons to improve her technique she then set off to New York City to become a professional singer.
Jaime embraces what it is to be young. She's emulates and echoes a generation of young adults/teenagers that live carefree, dance, club and appreciate what it is to let it all loose and just have a good time. Her personality has allowed her to make many important contacts in the industry and once heard by the masses, her personality will show through her music resulting in a large diverse fan base. As of February 2007, her first solo album is in the recording phase. The recording of her first album is being documented by a film crew, and is being recorded in the legendary Sony Studios. Well known artists, as well as legendary songwriters have come together to make Jaime's album a memorable one. She is going to bring back to the music world what it has been lacking for many years.Jaime was a contestant on The Pussycat Dolls: The Search For the Next
Doll, on the CW Network. She was eliminated in week three and from
the show gained national exposure, as well as valuable performing
experience.
Jaime is signed to A-List Entertainment Management and Vocal Chills Management
