I'd like to make some new friends and keep the old ones too.
Picked up the nickname Joe Numbers at a karaoke bar in Cape Coral, Florida, 2006, so I kept it. Bought a limousine for $300 in what must be the black / brown widow capital of FL, got over 4k in the beast now, and it's starting to reach the rating of acceptable. My kids love it. That gave me the idea to call the band Joe's Taxi.
I've been singing blues for a long time, but this year I went the extra mile with some Stevie Ray Vaughan material and Desperado by the Eagles. A number of people have told me to record Desperado, but I don't know if I'll be able to obtain the rights for that.
I made up Miss Muffet (lyric mockup in blog) and three other songs driving back from FL in the limo. Trips always inspire me, because I think about all the people I just met; or just one that got really close to me.
I'll be posting some clips of my blues crossover material just as soon as it's completed.
