Michael Mormecha

Somewhere between 1941 & 45 my grandfather Ilary Mormecha left his country the Ukraine and ended up in England where he met Molly Grey. They married and had two boys Ivan and Michael Mormecha. Michael found himself in Belfast during the 70’s when there was some mad craic goin on. Anyway, that’s where he met Ruth and they became Mr & Mrs Mormecha. They then moved to England and had four babies one of which was me. I was born in Derbyshire in 1984 but came to live in the emerald isle not long after. I’ve grown up and still live in Lisburn which I love dearly, I’ve been playing music for over 10 years now and wouldn’t do anything else with my life. It kinda started when my sister Clare was very small, santa gave her a guitar, she soon lost interest and I thought id have a go at bein an “Elvis man”. So maybe not quite like Elvis but I pretty much live and breathe music and automatically that gives me a crazy life! I juggle various musical boxes one as a songwriter (what your listening to) I also play and sing in a magical band called mojofury plus I have an alter ego name Clown Parlour which allows me to expertiment and take my ideas in various directions (all can be found on myspace which you should go and listen to if you like to drink flower and glass smoothies!) I have a manager called Peter who steers my career and together we have a studio which we seem to live in! Anyway…Life is an ever changing type of cake (or is it a box of chocolates?) you must bite and chew no matter what the ingredients! Take care! Chow for now!m.
