I've been a fanatic of dark electronic music for more than 6 years, being devoted to genres like electro, futurepop, synthpop, old-school EBM, industrial, powernoise and IDM. My favourite electronic genre has always been electro so it's this type of electronic music I know best. This doesn't really include the 'terror EBM' subgenre as I've grown tired of hearing most of these harsh electro acts (there are a few exceptions though). I'm more of an electro fan who prefers both traditional electro artists as well as electro artists who use trance and/or techno influences in their music. I adore artists/bands who have a sound of their own and who are not afraid to experiment with different electronic styles. And most important of all, I respect creativity in electronic music.
I created this profile with the intention to give feedback on artists I like, to discover new music and to meet people with a similar taste in music. I see it as an addition to my music profiles on both Discogs and Last.fm:

As from March 2008, I've become the new electro & futurepop CD reviewer/editor for the Belgian (Dutch-language) Dark Entries webzine ( http://www.darkentries.be/ ). My contributions are signed with the initials [ML] and can be found in my blog as well. If you have any questions regarding a release I've reviewed, don't hesitate to ask. I'm always in for a good music discussion, anyway.
