Brendan Doherty is a singer-songwriter from County Waterford, currently living in South Kilkenny, Ireland. He has gigged in various bands since the age of 16, and for the last 12 years has played professionally on the local, national and international scene.Brendan plays a one-man accoustic-based covers gig around the South East (Brendan Martin), as well as in a five piece corporate/fumctions band 'Carouse'.But Brendan's real passion is songwritig, recording and performing original material. He released his first single, 'Heaven' in 1997, which was produced by Chris O'Brien (Clannad, Aslan) and charted in the top 30. Since then he has set up his own commercial recording studio, has been involved in and performed at a number of songwriting clubs and forums.His new album, due to be release early 2009, Has been recorded in Nashville with producer Thomm Jutz. It feature's new self-pened material, as well as some co-written songs with writers such as Marian Bradfield, Danny Sheerin and Finnoula Kearney.
