Seldom Blue formed in October 2007 in Geelong. Performing their first official gig in December of the same year, Seldom Blue have constructed their bridge into the Australian music scene and matured into a band that delivers a dynamic and powerful performance.
Defining their style as ‘Alternative Rock’ Seldom Blue are definitely not your average band.
Consisting of Dave Adams (Vox/Guitar/Bass), Darren Huxhagen (Drums/Percussion), James Oxley (Lead Guitar) and Steve Watts (Bass/Guitar) each member brings with them their own individual flair and musical experience which combines to create a fresh and innovative sound.
Drawing on a diverse range of musical influences from The Beatles through to Nirvana, Seldom Blue perfectly mould catchy choruses, intense rhythms, relaxing leads and sweet harmonies to deliver some downright catchy tunes.
With an undeniable stage presence that draws in and ignites their audience and an easy going unpretentious nature their exceptionally tight high energy live shows continue to enlist more and more people into their ever growing army of fans.
With non-stop live shows, song writing and the recording of their Debut Album, Seldom Blues dedication, passion and persistence for spreading their art as far as it will take them is awe-inspiring.
In the short amount of time that the band has been formed they have already had much success on Triple J's Unearthed competition staying at the Top of the Charts over several consecutive weeks in 2008. Their music has had airplay on numerous independent and commercial radio stations and they have appeared on Melbourne's Channel 31 Asylum TV.
