Band Members: CHECK OUT OUR NEW BAND "THE AVOCADO THEORY" AT www.myspace.com/theavocadotheoryWe have a brand new band -- "The Avocado Theory". Just a 4 piece this time, downsizing from the larger bands - yet it sounds amazingly full.... I guess that's due to the FANTASTIC musicians namely :- The AMAZING MR SCOTT SHELLY on lead guitar, the man with the metronome in his head MR PETER LEIGHTON, on back up vocals and bass guitar --- DUNCAN SAVAGE, and me BRENDA-LEE singing (and playing accoustic) Come to a gig and scream for the Avo's!! We're HOT GUACOMOLE!!
Influences: One of my main influences for many years has been CHRIS REA. I love his style of anthemic songs which rise to a pinacle, both lyrically and musically, as well as his unique riffs and haunting melodies. Other influences include Bruce Hornsby, Steve Winwood, Peter Gabriel, The Divinyls, Mondo Rock/Ross Wilson, Fleetwood Mac, The Pretenders, Jimmy Webb, Emmylou Harris, Diana Trask, Crystal Gayle, Robbie Robertson, Pink Floyd, and other great bands of Australian rock - like The Angels, INXS, The Church, Gangajang, Midnight Oil, Aussie Crawl, Noiseworks, Eurogliders, Do Re Mi, ACDC, Rose Tattoo, -- so many, too many to mention - but growing up with those guys and girls as influences, was NOT a bad thing!.....................BELOW............................ .THESE ARE SOME OF MY PAINTINGS... IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME TO PAINT ONE FOR YOU, PLEASE CONTACT ME. SOME ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR SALE... JUST ASK!! ..........

Sounds Like: Me -- well I'm unique. I'm a cross between everyone I admired and admire, as well as my individual touches, twitches and ticks that I've incorporated and gathered along the road, which has lead me to where I am now, both in a songwriting capacity and vocally.
