Playing the Adelaide scene as a youngster, Andrew's bands include Ill Tempered ( a heavy rock band which played locally) and Seeds of Babylon a locally well known Rock/ Reggae (award winning) band, with which Andrew had the pleasure of touring nationally and sharing the stage with some top acts including, TZU, SLC, The Beautiful Girls and Bomba.Andrew then filled in as lead guitarist for pop/ rock band August falls which gave Andrew the privilege of touring the U.S and also touring/ supporting some great Aussie artists such as The Skyhooks, Kate Ceberano and Vanessa Amorossi.In mid 2005 while in America, Andrew played a few solo shows by chance and the idea of an acoustic project accidentally formed. Higgs returned home and was gigging anywhere and everywhere. Less than 6 months later Andrew was named "Best Male Solo Performer" in South Australia for 2005 at the (SAMIA) Awesam awards.Andrew released his debut solo album "Certitude" after relocating to Melbourne and has since toured solidly Australia wide in support of it. Undertaking 10 interstate tours since Certitude was released in Aug 07 to date, Andrew toured N.S.W with Ian Moss (in july 08) and played one off shows with The Kill Devils Hills and The Audreys. Also with good friends Poetical Justice and Jackson Firebird (checks these bands out!) Chinook, great melbourne band who Andrew played lap steel for on their EP.In 2009 Andrew is looking forward to creating, recording and collaborating with friends on his new tunes...
