Influences: When I was a baby my mother sang me nursery rhymes.
These gave way to grasping key signatures today. I can sing "row, row, row your boat" in six keys thanks to Mom.
Add the rest of the bunch of basic nursery rhymes and you've got a healthy representation of the portal to music theory- major scale and chord demos.
Though puny and boring in recitation, crucial in developmental psychology and thusly developmental musicianship.
I remember my earliest pop song was "I Got a Nickel" by Clint Holmes. (Around "The Candy Man" era.) It was an instantly adoptabable song by a 4-year old but instantly vomitted song by the rest of the adult masses at that time.
"Jet" by Wings and "Stuck in the Middle w/You" were also my first remembered pop tunes. I was 4. Each scared the shit out of me.
