About Me

Firemarshal Jo, a female producer and sound engineer from Denver, Colorado has been making music for 8 years. Her father, a popular musician from Palau (a small nation of islands 500 miles off the coast of Guam) gave her-her first keyboard at the age of 11. Shortly thereafter, a sense of original creativity formed and motivated her to begin making music. In high school, she began making hip-hop beats from scratch, using classic Yamaha keyboards and sound equipment. She purchsed a drum set, guitars, keyboards and other instruments, determined to learn them on her own to provide a better foundation of musical theory to implement into her music.
After high school, she attended The University of Colorado @ Denver to pursue a degree in Audio Engineering and music business. It was on campus she met fellow female producers J-Stylz and Rayn. The three women collectively are better known today as THE ELEMENTAL PROJECT. During her years at UCD, she became very proficient at audio engineering, working with various soundboards including analog and digital. She quickly learned the skills of the trade and now considers audio engineering (whether mixing or mastering) one of her favorite pastimes.
Firemarshal Jo's influences stretch far. Everyone from Fleetwood Mac to Freddy Fender, from Sevendust to Sarah Brightman, from Donnell Jones to Duran Duran....her ecclectic taste in music has allowed her to expand the capacity and creativity of her music.
With the assistance of J-Stylz and Rayn, the producing trio creates a very unique and innovative sound. Although all 3 members are female in a male dominated industry, they are beginning to make their mark.
