So for his 18th birthday in 2001 he got his first set of decks and gave it a go. At first he couldn't get the hang of it but he kept on going until it started to sound right, not perfect but right.
He got his first chance to DJ in public less than a year later when he played at a place called 'The Courthouse' in Bradford. He found it an amazing experience and he couldn't believe that people were dancing to what he was playing. After the night had finished, he was asked to play at a club called 'Fluid' in Leeds which was a big step for him. After playing there a couple of times it came to an end.
In June 2003 he was asked to play for a night called 'Purrfect'. From the first night of playing there, he was offered a residency and he is still to this day, a proud resident for the night, which is now called ’Purrfect Electro’, which holds its night at ‘Club Mission’.
In December 2005 John was offered a residency at ’Bar Fibre’ where he has played ever since and can be seen every weekend.
He also holds a monthly guest slot at ‘The Space’ for a night called Habit which is one of the hottest night in Leeds and has recently been offered a monthly guest slot at the legendary ‘Back2Mine’
John is also proud to announce that he will now be playing for one of the u.k's biggest nights 'Federation'
Over the past few months, John has been interested in producing his own music and has been in the studio with Dale Castell.
