About Me

Myspace LayoutsOld punk rocker turned blues singer.......... logical conclusion? Well I still do play loud and electric-Lamadog(git., vocals), Ninginkata(bass), but I’m a blues man(git., voice, harmonica). always have been, but for the last few years I’ve been doing solo gigs and recording on my own. Well with some help from friends...."My mind is Ramblin" is my latest album and my friend Martijn plays fiddle, banjo, and mandolin. Actually it’s a kinda folk, country-bluesy thing, different kinds of songs, all acoustic, but with an edge to it. I like to keep it rough though "Ramblin"is the cleanest sounding thing I’ve made. I love real soul music. I mean anything with a lot of soul in it. And rhythm. R.L. Burnside is one of my all time faves. I can hear that music all day long. Sam Cooke, Grateful Dead, Ramones, Hank Williams, Captain Beefheart, Ted Hawkins, Jimmy Reed, Sonny Terry, Booker T and the MG’s, old AC/DC, Husker Du, Wipers, The Clash, Roy Orbison, Mott the Hoople, the Sonics, Sparklehorse, the Gories!, Creedence, Steve Earle, Jimmie Rodgers, the first 2 Holy Modal Rounders albums, Doc Watson, Howlin Wolf, Joy Division, Roky Erickson, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash. Some Irish music and old ska music for sure. I was born in Chicago, lived in Tennessee, raised mostly in New Jersey. I’ve spent quite some time in Europe as well, esp. Holland-Germany, touring with bands and on my own. Live, I do a lot of old American folk, blues, rock n roll, country tunes along with my own songs, some of which sound pretty traditional too. I’ve been a street player as well and by that I’ve evolved my own weird versions of old tunes.
