I love art... good art! I like a soft look, I hate a rushed look. I used to not really like Impressionism because most of it looks like something a child could invent. However, after talking to my friend who is a docent at a museum, he told me how Impressionists painted the way they did because they were rebelling against the easy task of taking an immediate photo with the camera, invented in as early as 1839. Being a Leo & having a rebellious attitude at my core, I am forced to side with the Impressionists and look deeper into their art. More to come...
For now, the artists I do like:

I think any movie that can emotionally involve me is a great movie! I like movies that break the style of moviemaking, and artsy flicks. And because I went to art school, I appreciate the movies with great special effects.

I'm currently reading Shantaram about a man's journey in India. I've always liked C.S. Lewis for his profound wisdom and childlike imagination. I was reading the Bhagavad-Gita before I left for South America in December 2006. It seems to have parallel knowledge in the sense of good works/karma as the Bible. I enjoy it, it has good life lessons.
I love reading about history, philosophy, psychology, space travel, astronomy, elves and dragons, and about the thoughts of people. The Story of Christian Theology was remarkably interesting in describing how the different sects have been birthed out of the original Christian philosophy that Christ taught. Everyone should read Cosmos to stretch their mind of where we are in the universe. And after you're done reading that, read Ishmael to understand your place in the timeline of mankind. Both books are mindblowing!
If you don't read now, I encourage you to start. Start with something that interests you, and take the journey from there.
