Mrs. Henderson was born Feb. 7, 1915 in Gordon County, a daughter of the late Rufus Slander and Rodie Carroll Greeson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. George Henderson; sons, Joe Henderson, George Slander Henderson, James Henderson; daughters, Georgia Lou Henderson, Mary Alice McKheen and Helen Louise Smith; grandchildren, James Russell Henderson, Rosella Henderson, Stacy "Fat Boy" Henderson, James "Buck" Griggs; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Stokes and Rebecca Ann Bennett.She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Sam and Jean Henderson of Chatsworth, Dewight and Barbara Henderson, Perry Henderson all of Rocky Face; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue Bearden of Dalton, Mary Jane and Robert Rhear, Brenda Griggs all of Rocky Face, Charles Smith of Resaca; 31 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren and two more on the way.Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bunnie Bell "Granny" Henderson will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Brother Junior Williams and Brother Jessie Carver officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Henderson, Trevor Henderson, Cody Penson, Derick Henderson, Keith Stokes, Lamar Cook, John Bean and Travis Bean. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Monday.
