Slobodan Kostic - Kole
Lead guitar, composer...
He's a professor of history and, quite opposite to a common beliefs in his surrounding regarding his profession, he definitely is not a boring and dull person. According to the unconfirmed reports he might be the Old Fisherman himself. He belongs to unmarried minority of the band members, which means that he is single and, therefore, there is nothing more to tell about his sentimental life. Formerly, the journalist and editor in small weekly magazine which he established and ran with two of his friends. Also, being a convinced social-democrat, few years ago he was working actively in one regional social-democratic party. In collaboration with Danijel, he's trying to establish two non-profit and non-gov't organizations – an inter- and cross-cultural organization and a local society of blues fans. For long time now, a huge blues fan with occasional slight aspirations toward the European Manouche gypsy jazz/swing school and the world music. Ex-resident of city Tartu, Estonia.
Hajduk Danijel
Rhythm guitar, vocal...
In every day life he's a psychologist (also a juvenile psychologist) and, no, it doesn't mean that he is running any kind of "group therapy" for our band. Anyway, among his co-workers he is considered to be a reliable and competent professional. Married and father of one little girl. In contrary to some rumors, his wedding wasn't organized just as an opportunity for us to perform live. Yes, our first live performance took place at his wedding party. Formerly, he was a huge fan of rock 'n' roll and alternative rock. Further intensifying of friendship with Kole, several years ago, and further "growing up" has led to increasing interest in blues music. This whole process kept going on in the spirit of Muddy Waters' legendary song – "The blues had a baby and they named it rock 'n' roll". He had figured it out where the basics of the modern music actually laid. But seriously, beside the blues, he is making a large steps forward in learning about "hidden" musical forms as jazz, world music and progressive music. But, nevertheless, for some time now, Danijel is a bluesman par excellence.
Miroslav Trandafilovic - Tranja
Bass guitar & second vocal, annoying one...
Bass & Rhythm guitarist, occasional lead singer and moderate solo guitarist. Owner of the firm which deals with computer retail and maintenance. Beside that he's still a student of Faculty of IT Technologies. Married and father of two little girls (although he always played music, work with the band became a kind of "therapy", with what all other members agreed...). A huge jazz fan for a long time, who eventually realized that blues is mostly satisfying alternative to jazz. In ordinary life he's a nice person, but occasionally, when influenced by a liqueur, his dark side rise to the surface...then he is becoming artistically dangerous (most recognizable is his favorite song chorus, aimed at harassing other band members and all other present persons - "Mile is watering the oxes by the river" (notorious semi-traditional folk song)).
Srdjan Zoric
Drums & Percussion ...
Prominent young architect, succesfull marketing executive and, most of all, very interesting person. From time to time, the rest of the band becomes suspicious about his hyperactivity - is it really a virtue or just a psychological flaw? Whatever the truth is, we have to admit that he's quite good in, at least, majority of things that he does in his life. On the other hand, we're not appointed here to moralize but, when it comes to playing in the band, we all agree that he's a "natural born drummer". In his case, it's not just a figure of speech...Srdjan is one of the few who actually can say that he got acquainted with his instrument right from the cradle. How? The fact is that his father is recognized professional drummer (while his "prodigal" son becomes an architect and marketing specialist :-). Let's put a bad humor aside, there aren't many people with whom, after a very short period of time, you feel almost like you know them for half of your life. That's why I think (and I hope the rest of the band feels the same) that I would play in the band with him even if he's able to hit a snare drum or cymbal properly just in every third or fifth attempt. Anyway, that's not an issue at all - he is by far the best drummer our small "OFBb blues mafia" have had worked with...
Aleksandra Kaic Kostic
Lead singer...she have the ability to sing with emotion and feeling...Aleksandra earned among the band memmbers the nickname "Lady Blues" because of her powerhouse vocals and formidable stage presence. As far as we know, she's a sucessful financial advisor for different NGO projects and organizations and equaly successful mother of a small girl. Is it because she is the newest member of the band or is it because she's all natural but, she's one very charismatic member of the OFBb. On the other hand, it's not so difficult to be charismatic among us, questionably "attractive" men in our mid-thirties. With hers arrival, we now have two cases of hyperactivity in the band (not to mention all 17 different sports she used to play or exercise). Eventualy, she became a mother and swaped all these sports for just one sport, thoughest of them all - bringing up a child while pursuing professional career...Being such a hyperactive person, Aleksandra eventually decided to try herself out in one of hers favorite previous hobbies. Therefore, she joined the band and became a fifth member of our OFBb collective. Although after such a long abstinence some vocal insecurity is evident, we all consider her presence as big improvement and an important addition to our work. If not anything else, than imagine our band on live performance, in one case, with slightly bearded casual family man in mid-thirties as a frontman and, in other case, with a quite attractive blue-eyed, fairly self-assured, young woman in the same role. So, I rest my case...or in the words of immortal Monty Python's character: "wink, wink...noch, noch...say no more!"...
HONORED MEMBERS
Vjestica Zoran
Bass guitar
An actual performing foundation of our band. In every day life he's running the firm for cars and trucks body work and exhaustion repairing, which is actually registered on his wife (do not try to understand, in this country it brings certain advantages to him). He is married, obviously, and father of two children. You might say that he's also an experienced bassman and former member of many local bands. This also former radio station anchor man and passive blues fan has eventually became increasingly active blues fan and musician.
Vladan Bajic - Baya
Keyboards ...
We were warned about this guy several times... "Don't you get him in band, you'll be harassed with bagpipe sounds and oriental harmonies!" Well, yes - he's harassing us sometimes, but - fortunately, only for couple of seconds... until some band member shows him toward loaded gun that is hanging on the wall of our rehearsal room. After that, we receive a high quality harmonies behind our (in a way) dull and boring music. So with Baya behind us, we started to sound like proper band!
