Kinetic Percussion Duo consists of Daniel PÃ¥lsson and Martin Larsson
Currently we study percussion at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Our main teachers are Anders Loguin, Daniel KÃ¥se and Roland Johansson.
We play classical music for mainly two marimbas, but we have also played some stuff for two marimbas and percussion. Last year, we took part of a marimbacourse in Effretikon, Switzerland led by the great marimbist: Leigh Howard Stevens.
Some of our influences are: Safri Duo, Malleusincus, Daniel Berg/Fredrik Andersson, Leigh Howard Stevens, She-e Wu, Michael Burritt etc.
We started to play together, when we both studied at a swedish boardingschool located in the middle of the woods, almost as far away from civilisation as you can get.
We thought that it was very fun and challenging to play together so when we both were accepted to the college in Stockholm, we decided to form the duo and began to build a repertoar.
