I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Not much to say about me, my life is primarily defined by my family and my work. I've been married for 12 years, 6 years in my wife Sondra had a massive bleed in her brain when she was 6 months pregnant. I've spent the last 6 years taking care of her and our two children: Jamie 10, and Lexi 6.
Work-wise I'm an expert web monkey, which means I take other peoples ideas and make them work properly on the internet. I've been programming since I was young lad with a TI/99 4-A and I tend to be quite good at my work. For the past several years I've been mostly working out of my home. You can find my resume at http://www.thebrogue.com/resume.html

(This occured after my 35th birthday party in July, a windstorm swept through and flipped my glass topped deck table over into the position shown, shattering the top into millions of little bits.)
The Serenity Prayer
A few years back, when I was particularly down about how things in my life are going a friend pointed me to this prayer (commonly associated with AA) which I think applies to all of us who care for someone who is mentally unstable.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

You are a warm hearted and open minded person. It's easy for you to forgive and forget.
You are a very grounded, responsible, and realistic person. People may not want to hear the truth from you, but they're going to get it.
You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. Inside the Room of Your Soul
