The Milford Mill Concert Chorale

In an age and time when youth are being written off by the media, the music industry and the larger society, The Milford Mill Concert Chorale consistently stands as a testimony and beacon of light for young and old alike to see the manifest handiwork of God. In spite of opposition, legalism and the pressures of the adversary this choir remembers the scripture which declares remember thy creator in the days of thy youth!This ensemble is a thriving group of young people from the Milford Mill community of Baltimore, Maryland. Now in its 9th Season this choir which was originally birthed as an afterschool community based ensemble at Milford Mill Academy High School in Baltimore County Maryland performs a repertoire which spans several centuries and includes everything from classical oratorio to modern jazz, gospel, and contemporary popular music. (It should be noted that this choir is a community based organization and is solely supported as such) The Chorale is particularly noted for maintaining the heritage and legacy of the Negro Spiritual, and for sacred renditions, and “message music” or what its director calls “soul food”!But beyond simply “singing” this choir helps to provide a safe haven for hundreds of young people. It is a place where they are nurtured, encouraged, instructed and inspired as they grow and develop their God-given talents, gifts and abilities. The Milford Mill Concert Chorale is a family fitly joined together by God’s great love!The Chorale is under the direction of its founder Mr. Thaddeus L. Price, Jr. “PRICE”, as he is affectionately known by choir members and friends is a heavily sought after teacher, clinician, trainer, counselor and workshop facilitator. He has been called one of Baltimore’s most innovative and inspiring young teachers.
