The Unified Lossless Network is a group of online music sharing hubs.A DC++ hub is an online community of traders, tapers and musicians that share their lossless format(flac, shn, ape)unofficial music collections with each other in what is basically set up like a large chatroom where you can browse each others music collections and download whatever you want for FREE.The DC++ software is also free and easy to learn how to use.The music we share is for the most part recordings of live concerts that were never officially released by the artists themselves. There are 100's of DVD's and video clips as well as 1000's of audio recordings. Most of the shows also come with the artwork for the cd covers which you can print and put in a jewel case to make your cd collection look like it was bought in a store.
These recordings are rare and you won't find them in a store anywhere. In fact you won't find most of them anywhere but in these hubs. The fact that the downloading software also features real time chat makes it possible to meet other music collectors from around the world and create a lot of great new friendships. There are 4 hubs in the unified lossless network 3 of which have a specialty. The first is "The Utility Muffin Research Kitchen" which is the Frank Zappa hub.Second is "Echoes Hub" which is the Pink Floyd hub.Third is "The Bluegrass Hub" Which specializes in bluegrass/folk type music.Last is "The Bootleg Bunker" which doesn't really have a specialty but shares all lossless bootlegs from a variety of musicians. All the hubs, though 3 have specialties, share lossless format bootleg recordings of all bands.
Do you want to pay a dollar or more per song to one of these online ripoff companies when you can buy the cd for less usually?Well the hubs in the network will never charge you a penny EVER! NO GIMMICKS!.You can download 100's and 100's of great recordings in pure lossless audio and tons of awesome rare music DVD's that you will never find in a store anywhere. All that is asked of hub members is that they share back the music they download by putting the shows in a share folder so that others can get the shows from them too.And to follow the rules of each hub. There are people in each hub that are called "ops"(short for operators)that are available to help you when you have questions or need to know how to do something. They are also there to keep the peace in the hubs and to enforce the rules.
