The Jiggawatts

About Me

THE JIGGAWATTS And then there were three.....London's newest thrust into the punk scene lands us right on top of a molton new group called THE JIGGAWATTS. Up until recently , there were four...now due to a falling out with ex jiggawatt Ray pigeau....they are three stong.....and that's a fucking understatment!!! Adam (vox/guitar) and James (drums) started jammin' in late 2006 to have fun and forget about the angst of the working class man.Ray Pigeau(guitar) added his talents and the band started to evolve. they stated out with just a few covers....but then deciced to concentrate on originals.....within a couple of months and the signing of bass player Jake they became a four piece band.....and THE JIGGAWATTS were born. The boys were ready to expose their talents...and when they finally put together a solid 1/2 hour set....they decided to hit the pavement and see if they could strum up a gig. They played their first show at "The Wick" in may 2007....soon after The Richmond...Call the Office...Norma Jean's....The Salt Lounge....the possibilities were becoming endless. The boys were advised to record and hooked up with Gabe Cugalman (a recording student) and recorded six songs. They released 80 copies of the short but oh so sweet Burning Bridges' C.D. All of a sudden THE JIGGAWATTS weren't looking for gigs .....gigs were looking for them!they were being asked to play with such bands as '63 Monroe, The G men, and The Clusterbombs....and all of a sudden....Burning Bridges' became a hot new sought after C.D.! The Burning Bridges' C.D. brought about what is sure to be a new punk anthem with the song "State Your Business".....the punk influences brought to the stage by Adam and Ray and the heavier influences brought to the stage by James and Jake made for what can only be described as an aural delight of riffs, voo doo drum magic and intense vocals. With spring 2008 came the talk of a new C.D. release but also brought about the departure of Ray from THE JIGGAWATTS.....James says"we weren't seeing eye to eye on the making of our new stuff...and personal feelings can't get in the way of the progress of the band...". So with that....they became a three peice...a very tight three peice ready to release a new C.D. in the summer/fall 2008. THE JIGGAWATTS are one of the most determined,hard-working young bands around. The know who they are, and they know where they want to go.With all their love and knowledge of music....it is only logical that these boys unite to form one of the hottest new punk rock sensations around. And I say these guys rock hard and yep, they're young...but, they possess more heart, talent and true love of music than some musicians twice their age....come see for yourselves cuz these guys aren't goin' anywhere...but up.....find out more about this amazing band at www.myspace.com/thelondonjiggawatsTHE JIGGWATTS are Adam "The General" Genereau-guitar and vox James "Shooter" Chute- drums Mike "Bones" Maloney- Bass Latest C.D.
