Lots, but the top 5 would be: reading, writing, RPGs, music, and organizing stuff. I've started getting into working out and hiking again (as I did so many years ago), and I recently bought a classic car on eBay which I'm going to restore as a project over time. It's a classic pimpmoble, and when it's done I'll put up pictures of it here.
Ralph McTell and Laura Linney--but not at the same time.
No one in the world has the same tastes as me. "Eclectic" doesn't even begin to describe them. I like almost all genres but am particular about specific artists and even songs from each one. Let's just say the iPod and iTunes were invented for guys like me, who like to tinker endlessly with my playlists to get them just right. I've got seven days of continuous music on my iTunes, so you can see how it might be hard for a fellow to list favorites. However, every so often in my blog I list the top 25 most-played stuff as reported by iTunes, so that gives you some idea of what I like.
Way too many to list, but in general I like flashy smart movies--for example, most James Cameron films. My current favorite is "Raising Arizona," but if you ask me tomorrow I might say something else entirely. I've also been watching old gangster movies from the 30's and pre-Hayes code movies from the 20's on TCM. Yet there's always time for old favorites, like Coen brothers movies, Sam Raimi films, etc.
Not too much, but I do like several Britcoms, chiefly at the moment "Father Ted." That thing is a hoot! I've also been watching the Kathy Griffin show on Bravo and several crime shows on Court TV, all via the magic of a Cox DVR.
Way, WAY too many to list. I'm a few sanity points away from going into full-tilt bibliomania. I own somewhere over 5000 books--I don't know exactly how many. I've read probably half of those and I should have the other half read in the next 2-3 years, assuming I don't buy any more (yeah, right). As it is, I'm always reading multiple books simultaneously (anywhere from 4-12) and cycle between them every few chapters to keep it interesting.
I always like the Marvel ones, particularly Iron Man, more than the DC ones, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for The Spectre (Jim Corrigan). Seriously, though, I don't really have anyone I look up to as a hero. I have idols, but they aren't the same thing, and frequently it can be disappointing to meet one's idols because often the fantasy does not survive the reality. Remind me to tell you about my meeting with one of the Runaways, one time...
