Guillaume Ortet interpret composer

GUILLAUME ORTET started playing on the Nice jazz scene whislt a student at the Nice Conservatorium Jazz Double Bass departement under the tutorage of : Christian Pachiaudi, Robert Persi, Jean Marc Baccarini among others... He graduate in 2007.From 2006 he has studied at the Amsterdam Conservatorium with master musicians teachers like: Franz van der Hoeven, Arnold Dooyewerd, Tineke Postma, Yuri Hoenig to but a few of the excellent staff. ************************************************************ **** From NOV 2005 to JULY 2006 : G.Ortet led a jazz trio in Nice , performing weekly at the restaurant : ” l’ Authentic ” whilst featuring various soloists of the Nice jazz scene. ************************************************************ **** From JANUARY 2007 until the present : G.Ortet leads in coordination with Jorn Swart (piano) the PROEF JAZZ QUARTET who perform every Sunday at Proef, and every Thursday, as the PROEF DUO also accompanied byJorn Swart at: Proef eten drinken , 160 Overtoom , Amsterdam , www.proefeten-drinken.nl ************************************************************ ** RECORDINGS:in MAY 2008 , G.Ortet finalized the first part of his debut album with mostly his own compositions such as : “FROG IT”, “THE NOTE STEALER”, “MOTIVEX” . The tracks you can hear on this page have been recorded at the new great recording Studio of Amsterdam Conservatorium. The tracks were laid dow by a great team of musicians (see slide show above) and the band was eventually named : GORtet Café . ************************************************************ ** Special thanks to Herbie Hanckok, Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane and to there great music .The tunes “Frog” it and “Motivex” have been directly inspired from their music.
