Femme Mafia Twin Cities is an organization inspired by the original Femme Mafia, founded by a group of femmes in Atlanta. Like the original, we seek fierce, fabulous femmes of all genders and femme allies to build community, have fun with each other, wreck havoc against all oppressive forces, and support the variety of ways we live out and appreciate femme identity in our lives. Femme Mafia Twin Cities is excited and ready to create a space for ourselves in which femmes are respected and supported for their specific gendered choices, histories and identities, and in which femmes and our allies can struggle together against racism, sexism, trans-, bi- and homo-phobia, class oppression, ableism, imperialism and all the divisions that exist in our communities.
WHAT WE DO:
Monthly HotDishes -- to build community and socialize
Biweekly Discussion Groups -- to get to know each other, support each other and think through our differences (these alternate being open to femmes and allies and femmes only)
Craft Nights!
Fundraising events to get us to the 2008 Femme Conference!
