About Me

My real name is Kevin Bignell & i was born February 6th 1966,an only child to a postman & a housewife.I've no brothers or sisters so i was a spoilt little bastard to be honest! I was a bit shy when it came to women.Didn't get my first girlfriend till i was 21 & never lost my virginity till March 1st 1988 - 10:30am to be precise!! - & found out to my surprise that when it comes down to making love....i'm a natural!!!! Got married when i was 27,divorced when i was 32 & i've been alone ever since.I was diagnosed a 'manic depressive' in 1989 & was/am a raging alcoholic.I quit drinking September 23rd 2002 & until this very day of writing this scribble,i haven't touched a drop since! To be perfectly honest i don't miss it that much although i still think 'Jack Daniels' is the breakfast of champions! These days though i stick to bran flakes! Started writing songs in 1980 & formed my first band,THE NEUTRALS, in 1982 - over 25 years later we're still going! We've only played live once & that was nearly 20 years ago.It's more of a hobby than anything else although if we were to be offered a record deal we'd jump at the chance!!!!!! Other bands i've been in include THE SIMPLETONS (a fantastic band,we made 2 cracking cds),FIELDS OF REGRET,THE DUST BUNNIES,THE NOTORIOUS SIMPLETON BROTHERS,THE ZYGMOTICS & THE ACCIDENTS. Luckily i've kept nearly everything i've ever recorded over the years & recently i started up my own music site on 'myspace' called JACK ZEVO & THE ZABADAKS. Just click on the "straight Elton John lookalike" in 'my top friends' to find out more! Those of you who want to hear examples of my work are asked to go there,nod your heads & say to one another....'why isn't he famous?'. Good question!!! Should you want to hear me sing 'live' these days you'll have to go along to a karaoke....that's where i go to keep my voice in trim!!! Today i live alone in a council flat in Bromsgrove,with my canary,& dream sweet dreams.God bless Diazepem....oh - by the way....as you can see by my photo,i like to smoke so if you've got a problem with that....TOUGH!!! Everybody!!! From Techno heads to Thrash Metal bands to Transexuals...whatever colour,creed,age,sexual preference,religion you are - here you will be welcome! I would like to meet especially.... women who are lonely,just like me & looking for love! However i'm not a walking wallet so don't think (if you come outside the UK) that i'm going to pay for your air fare over here! I long for love but i'm no mug...so don't take me for one!!!!!!!!!! I also want to meet or see,live,other bands & musicians.I used to be a (hospital)radio dj & my show had everything on there...jazz,country,punk,gospel (the proper soul/rhthm & blues stuff & not the tepid nonsense you get in any other - ie: white - church),psychedelia,swing,thrash metal,techno,drum & bass,electronica,folk,reggae,etc etc.I was the 'John Peel' of Radio Highcroft (now demolished with the rest of Highcroft Hospital unfortuneatly) & if any radio station needs a dj then i'm your man! Just don't give me any 'playlists' cos i play what i like! So there! It would be nice to get another group together as well...perhaps! To be honest i'm quite content being in THE NEUTRALS or playing solo gigs armed with my battered acoustic guitar.Anyway,e mail away! xx
