Willie Gomez was born in Puerto Rico on July 19, 1961 in the city of Gurabo. Since his early age Willie had a passion for music. His father was a "Trobador" of folklorical Latin Christmas Music. At the early age of 5 years old, Willie and his brother started to perform at major radio stations in Puerto Rico. A couple of years later Willie join the Federacion de Musica de Puerto Rico with master bongo player Roberto Roena.He joined a band called Gurabo 2000 and also Orquesta La Clave in which he provided music to renowned legends such as El Gran Combo, La Sonora Poncena, Justo Betancourt, Wilfrido Vargas, Raphy Leavit y la Selecta among others. This open doors for Willie to meet a great range of musicians in the latin Tropical industry. Willie is not only a musician, he also does his own compositions. At the age of 12 Willie already composed several songs which where interpreted with such legends as Santitos Colon as well as Felito Felix. One of the peak moments of his carrer was performing with Fania All Stars in Peru. At this moment Willie is performing with such bands as Orquesta Yarey, Lalo Rodriguez, Bobby Concepcion, Rey de la Paz as well as many others. He is currently finishing his productions with his new band Cafe con Leche which is in the works with the Record Lable Grandaneses Music in Orlando, Fl. With the knowledge and experience he received during his many years in the industry, Willie Gomez is now inclined to work on promotions and booking for artists in Florida.
