About Me

Mulago Positive Women's Network (MPWN) is a network which was started in January 2004, focusing on the most vunerable people in the local community in Kampala, Uganda with a vision of bringing back hope to the lives of women and children who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.Conscious that many HIV positive women face different challenges of different dimensions, women in TASO Mulago realized that they could do a lot to share with and support each other in order to cope with the impact of HIV/AIDS in their lives. This is a tribute page to their ingenuity, resilience and determination to survive and to thrive in the midst of many obstacles by one who knows them.I hope that you will find this page enlightening, encouraging and emboldening.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who want to learn more about the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa and of how a small yet determined group of women in Uganda (the MPWN) are facing the challenge of HIV/AIDS in their lives with courage and grace. It is hoped that once people "meet" the women of the MPWN that they will be inspi(red) to find a way to help them.(see "Interests")
