About Me

.. I was born in California and mostly grew up in a town with a population of about 175. My family came to America in 1680, welsh immigrants, so that makes me an American mutt. Mostly Irish and Cherokee Indian. I picked up my first guitar when I was 11 and did my first play when I was 12. I took a test when I was 16 and started college when I should have been a junior in highschool. I have a B.A. in Theater from San Francisco State University with a minor in costume design. I did Look-a-like work for several years, Marilyn Monroe and Mae West. I stopped because it made me feel like a drag queen. I love to dance. Okay, I have to dance. I loved living in San Francisco and I love living in L.A. I feel well travelled, because of all the back roads I've been on. I'm a single mom with a 19 year old son (in college) and 17 year old son (having a party in the next room). I'm an antique dealer for a living. I just want someone to tell me a good story. I'm a founding member of L.A. Theater sports. I love the sun but don't much like the heat. I think that we should all remember that "there is nothing to fear, but fear itself".

Surgery Girl meets the Zombie People

I am always amazed at my fellow humans. Really, I just love human nature.  We all seem connected in the weirdest ways.  After the surgery that I had a couple of months ago, there was on...

Surgery Girl

Life is so colorful sometimes.  And being the film/tv watcher that I am, I often put my own personal stories into categories like soap opera, sitcom, action adventure or afterschool special. ...

Hummingbirds and Urban Myths

Well, when I was a kid...

That's one of the things you just that you just don't want to say to your kids, because it implies that you somehow grew up in the dark ages or at the very least, in a covered wagon crossing the prair...

Solitary Lane

Today I sent Friendship to Solitary Lane. This is not a metaphor.  I sold a 1920 volume of Thoreau's "Friendship" on Ebay and the adress that I sent it to was on Solitary Lane.  I almost kep...
