Hi i'm Shiri Daniella Kassel. i am a recent graduate from the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. I have a bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Fashion Design. Right now, my big passion is jewelry. Currently, I am designing a line of Jewelry called Shiri.D. My jewelry features gold, copper and silver wire of all different gauges mixed with wood and various glass beads.i also do some pieces in sheet metal. My line is currently featured in botiques around the United States including Tres Jolie of Beverly Hills California, and Indulge Botique in the Chicago Gold Coast Area. My Jewelry is meant to be worn by women who want to stand out and be unique. I am a big fan of Art Nouveau and squiggles and swirls, which is something you will always see in my work. As far as my fashion designs, I would describe my work as whimsical, loud, sexy and feminine. I have been doing fashion drawings ever since I was able to hold a crayon in my hand, and so everything I design is just what naturally comes out of me. I do pay attention to trends in my design process but the majority of my work is purely whatever comes out of my head. I subscribe to the philosophies of Betsey Johnson, in terms of making clothing that I personally would want to wear and to a certain extent ignoring the trends, because if you are a truly great designer, people will always like what you have to show them.
