About Me

An original member of the San Francisco-based Mind Complex Crew, it was only a matter of time before Wreckelekt would captivate audiences with a solo project. Staying true to his roots, he paired up with long-time friend and producer DJ Deedot (Nate Krooks, Public Radio) whose broad production range is a symmetrical compliment to Wreckelekt’s charismatic microphone presence. Influenced by such artists as A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and The Pharcyde, this emcee’s message-driven music is a reflection of the quality musicianship which flourished during the Golden Age of Hip Hop. It is evident that Wreckelekt is an artist who will be causing a stir in the Bay Area music scene with a sound and energy that will enthrall listeners.Wreckreation is an eleven track album that demonstrates both lyrical and rhythmic depth. Deedot’s production provides the perfect context to which this aspiring emcee writes his true-to-life songs. With each possessing fresh and creative arrangement, Wreckelekt and Deedot collaborate for an awe-inspiring sound. Presenting his experiences with marked realism & irony, over deconstructed, progressive, jazz-infused beats, Wreckelekt tackles subjects and issues that relate to a broader audience while uncompromising the integrity of his lyrical artistry. Wreckreation is deft, playful journal of life's dealings. From this glimpse, his style and energy, and the sound that radiates from his work, Wreckelekt keeps listeners eager to hear more.
