About Me

Sometimes I don't know which I'll enjoy more when it finds me, a jazzercising kitty parade or an opera singing burger loving unicorn...

My Interests

TV, movies, school, art, love, learning, music, boys, food (making it and eating it), the love of my life my superdog Bowie, hiking, existing, robots, pirates, robot-pirates, coffee and tea (I choose not to play favorites), camping, growing shit, making shit, friscalating dusklight (though I'm technically a morning person), the ridiculous, trying to be green, enjoying the everyday, reading and subsequently writing related papers (shut up, it's fun), nature, community, light-drawing, the age-old practices of kitty-wrangling, sweater-wearing, and honky-tonkin', thinking about stuff, and my rad friends in Reno

I'd like to meet:

The miracle that would be David Johanson and Lou Reed's love child, and that's about it... oh yeah, and Kurt Vonnegut, and Chainsaw from "Summer School," and my love Chris Stevens (Chris In The Morning, and Chris in the Afternoon, KBHR, Cicely, AK)

Music:

I'm tragically unhip.

Movies:

What's a movy? That is what that means, right? Many movies? I don't know, I'm new to this world...

Television:

"More than jazz, or musical theatre, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform. Think of all the shared experiences television has provided for us, from the moon landing, to the Golden Girls finale, to Walter Cronkite denouncing Vietnam, to Oprah pulling that trash bag of fat out in a wagon, from the glory and the pageantry of the summer Olympics, to the less fun winter Olympics," Kenneth is right, she says, knowing that television is the closest thing to a truly shared national experience we'll ever have, except for, she remembers, our imminent ruin... plus, how great did Don Cheadle look in Golden Palace with the flat top? Oscar nominee, or hotel manager and pal and confidante to Cheech and the ladies? I prefer the latter. Sometimes the 'worst' shows to most are the most entertaining to me. Some shows I like a lot: Northern Exposure, Wings, Mad About You, Boston Common, monk, Gilmore Girls, Judging Amy, Growing Pains, Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer, Hee-Haw, Grey's Anatomy, The Brady Bunch, NewsRadio, I Dream of Jeannie, The 4400, Family Ties, My So-Called Life, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World, Sports Night, The Addams Family, The Office, just about any cartoon, Bewitched, Dead Like Me, anything on the History Channel, or any televised documentary on any other channel that happens to be about history or I guess really anything (I'm a sucker for knowledge), Mr. Belvedere, 30 Rock, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, A Different World, The Munsters, Saved By The Bell, Woops!, Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Murder, She Wrote (J.B. Fletcher killed them all!), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Step By Step, Coach, 90210, Major Dad, Daily Show and COlbert Report, Out of this World, Quantum Leap, Lost, Angel, The Cosby Show, Doogie Howser, M.D., Herman's Head, any L & O, Charmed, The Closer, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, Studio 60, Heroes, I can't keep going...

Books:

Smell delicious and make me happy.

Heroes:

The weather will continue bad, he says. There will be more calamities, more death, more despair. Not the slightest indication of a change anywhere. The cancer of time is eating us away. Our heroes have killed themselves, or are killing themselves. The hero, then, is not Time, but Timelessness. We must get in step, a lock step, toward the prison of death. There is no escape. The weather will not change.

Yea, yea, I'm obsessed with Bowie

But look how pretty and fashionable he is... This is his formal wear... and during the unfortunate period of the skid mark on his head...     One of his love-me faces...     ...
